the whole objective of the wts is to print as many books and magazines and sell them house to house with free labor from its members.. looking at these other ministries,they too print as many books as possible and sell them to it's members and viewing audience.the donations they take in are in the millions.
some of these ministers are payed a huge salary and live in massive homes which have been shown on television.. my questions are: don't all religions use their members for gains in the name of god?
don't all religions own massive properties,schools,and personal properties all in the name of god?
They are just more hucksters making a living off of gullible people.
Now, on the subject of religion, that has numerous definitions.
Organized religion, imo, is where the problem lies.

at the service meeting this week it was mentioned that fred franz was very educated and spoke 6,7 languages.
and was able to give 1.5 hrs talks without an outline and quote all the scriptures from memory.. i heard that about him for the last 30 years.. is it true or just a mith?

I'm in complete agreement with greendawn:
The WTS wouldn't for a moment get god's approval to rule over mankind that idea is part of their mythology as they are in fact a very substandard organisation. In addition the earthly paradise is their way of enticing people into their org and this idea also has no biblical backing. I don't think anyone would like to be under their legalistic and loveless rule.
However, just for the sake of "what-if?" I would have to say I'd rather be alive than dead, even if it meant having to live the dub-way. BA- Enjoys life..

1- They claim they are God's exclusive earthly source of enlightenment
2- They claim that God is unchanging
3- They regularly change their tune.

we on this forum were all more or less unhappy with the wts for one reason or other and inevitably we left that religion which we consider to be in fact a cult.
we can't understand or imagine how anyone could be happy living in that negative environment yet there seem to be quite a few dubs that are happy and content being jws.
apart from the obvious ones eg those that have some status which gives them a sense of importance why do others feel happy being there?
Some JW's are "happy" because they don't want to think for themselves.
Some JW's are "happy" because it's they only way they can have a relationship with their "loving" family.
Some JW's are "happy" because they are on a power trip.
Some JW's are "happy" because they have a non-stop source of cheap, honest labor.
Some JW's are "happy" because they have a social network that they think they couldn't develop otherwise.
I'm sure there's other "happy" reasons for being a dub, those are a few off the top of my head.
